Companies Leading Endpoint and Network Security Technologies Help Drive Interoperability and Endpoint Security Enforcement.

San Francisco, CA December 14, 2004 -- OPSWAT, Inc. today announced that it is working with Microsoft to develop integration of Network Access Protection support for OPSWATs endpoint security technologies. The goal of this effort is to deliver solutions that will help their mutual customers better address the increased threat and impact of malicious software.

OPSWAT will develop support in OPSWAT's Endpoint security SDK for Microsoft's Network Access Protection. This approach will allow customers to integrate the embedded security capabilities of OPSWAT's technologies with those of Microsoft's Windows, enabling them to choose components, yet implement a single, coordinated solution.

This announcement signals strong intent for interoperability and an embrace of a standards-based approach to retrieve assess and enforce the health status of the Endpoint."

"The Endpoint Security SDK provides security technology vendors and integrators with a cost-effective means to enhance their offerings so to provide a single, relatively comprehensive management interface for the diverse mix of antivirus, firewall and anti-Spyware applications used by their customers. The SDK has also been successfully used by corporate customers to develop internal endpoint security management solutions. said Tom Mullen, OPSWAT's Business Development Manager.

This important effort with OPSWAT underscores Microsoft's ongoing commitment to creating a more secure computing environment for customers," said Steve Anderson, a Director in the Windows Server Group at Microsoft.
